Outlander charging time?

Hi all,

Complete novice here, I purchased a Outlander PHEV hx3 yesterday and I was led to believe the charging time should be around 5 hours. (from home on the standard charger) After leaving it over night for around 9 hours the car was only half charged.
Does anyone know why this has happened?

Pre owned? Maybe a charge timer has been configured by the previous owner and the car started to charge much later than you thought? Or stopped earlier?

No provision for timer on Gx3h early models, what year is it?
