I've seen other posts about the bluetooth issues with the MMC, but I wondered if any one else has a LG G4 and is experiencing the same as me? My handset is running Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and is not rooted and was bought network free. I've paired it successfully with the MMC (via the settings menu, not via voice control). I have the map screen split with the Audio details on the left. When a call comes in the Audio is killed, the Audio part of the screen goes all fuzzy, and the phone call refuses to play through the speakers, just via the phone. The caller also can hardly hear me, so I suspect that the the microphone is also not doing it's job.

I tried unpairing and starting again, but it's still the same. Is anyone else getting similar results? I've ordered a Parrot Neo 2 HD clip on unit so at least I can handle calls legally (and clearly) as a stop gap, but I'd like to get to the bottom of this issue as I can't believe in 2015 (when car was registered) bluetooth hassles are still a thing. My 2012 Focus had no problems with the same handset.

Try it with the phone wifi off.

The MMCS can't cope with being connected via wifi and bluetooth together (unbelievable I know but it is useless with my Samsung Note 4, it does something like you describe if wifi is on.)

As my iPhone does not show this behaviour I guess this is a specific Android problem. From experience (with Mac) I know that these kind of software frontier conflicts between companies are the slowest to be resolved.

Hi Bob, my phone wifi is always off in the car, I have a NFC tag on my phone cradle that is set up to do that (and some other stuff).

Alternatively you can use the AutomateIT app from the Google Play store to turn off WiFi in the car. I have it set so that whenever it connects to the car's Bluetooth it turns off WiFi, and vice versa. Works really well for me, as I was having similar problems previously. Also means that you are no longer connected to the car's WiFi, and are therefore able to receive notifications, messages, etc. via your usual 3G/4G data connection.

I use a combination of Trigger & Tasker (to set up the rules) to write to the NFC tag. Trigger works like AutomateIT and I've checked again that the car NFC trigger kills the wifi, so I think there is something else causing the issue. The phone has never been connected to the car wifi ssid anyway, as I use a tablet for that.

another thing to try (assuming you don't need it) is remove Bluetooth media from the bluetooth pairing, I have had some issues with a system poking around on a device for media files interfering with phone function.

Funnily enough, my phone updated to Marshmallow tonight, I had updates disabled, will see tomorrow if mine still works!

So tried one last time turning the media audio off after pairing. This throws the MMC in to a fit constantly bleeping and still trying to connect to media audio. Looks like I'll be sticking to the Parrot for the time being.

Have you had any success with a different phone? there is always the possibility that your MMCS is defective..

Just paired without any hassle (turning media audio off) with a OnePlus One running Android 6.0.1, so the fault would appear to be with the G4.

It works fine with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 now on Android 6.0.1 also.
