Hi All,

My company have finally got around to ordering my PHEV and will be ordering this week. How long would you expect the wait to be on a standard PHEV 4h? Also what is the deal with charging points these days?

Cheers

Hi, I can only let you know my experience. Colour was a factor as you would expect, black and grey being popular. At the time I ordered an Atlantic grey 3h at the end Sep, the wait was about 4 weeks. Think it’s quicker if you order in a dealership rather than online. Also add some time if you want extras added to the car which is carried out after the car hits land. Pick the right colour, basic spec and a lucky ship landing time and it can be as quick a one week. Hope that helps. As for charging points, bit of a mess but it seems things are speeding up. My home charger company are rushed off their feet so looking positive that car/home charger demand will push for lots more charger points out and about :D

The government budget to subsidise charging points is finite and not particularly big, so you don't want too much demand before you get yours! Prior to the rule change a few weeks ago, you didn't need to have an electric car, or even have one on order. After we ordered ours, one of our friends decided to get a free point installed on the basis that might buy a Tesla in two or three years.

concur with maby, wise counsel. If I were you I'd order one asap. either through large company such as BG (I did, was easy), chargemaster direct etc, or an independant like Chris at ev charging solutions. There's plenty of posts on it but this is a useful one (started by Chris I recall) http://www.myoutlanderphev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=557
