Have any other forum members seen gaps in the data like this ??

Something must be happening that either deletes data, or the computer system only records data when it feels like it.

I don't think this is what the design is intended to do.

I was hoping other forum members had a working knowledge of the data recording component of the MMCS on their PHEV. I notice that about 44 individuals have seen my post and have no comment. Does this mean no other PHEV owners on the forum have seen data log screens on their cars that are similar to the one I posted ??

I am concerned about the possibility of loss of other data that may be important to the operation of the PHEV systems.

I have gaps like those in my long term history too. Don't know why. After intitial play with those screens I hadn't been back until looking just now. I only use Fuelly to check on petrol consumption. I'm not concerned about the gaps and put it down to just another MMCS shortcoming.

I would not accept a windscreen that leaked, or a fuel line that was blocked as OK, so why should we accept any other system that was not working correctly and shrug it off and accept it as a shortcoming of a particular system. I certainly paid good money for all systems to be working without faults.

My Mileage Tab - Long term History

Mine does not exhibit the same broken line even though the data goes to zero for several days.
but you can't jump to the conclusion that its "Broken" - for some reason the data points may be negative and the line is not displayed because the graph is truncated at Zero - there is a "Zero" data point in the middle of the gap which suggests to me the above.

I would do a Reset to both Manual and Auto MPG tracking and Zero both A & B trips - then keep a brief note of mileage display at regular periods for each trip you make - and see if there is a pattern to the MPG graph gaps - if they then exist...
then you have some documentary evidence to by-pass your dealer and submit to MMC customer service via their website - I have had answers to a couple of questions the dealer could not answer....

Negative data is generated HOW!! Possibly driving backwards. I have some negative energy with the way REGEN works on my PHEV, so maybe this is it.

Have tried the RESET of every possible setting. No change to the way the screens lose data.

Why should we the owners of brand new vehicles be used for experimenting. This is a job for those experts employed by car manufacturers paid to get it right before production begins. There is no guarantee that the car manufacturer will do anything to fix these BUGS, so why should we accept cars with BUGS as an OK practice.

No reason to like bugs in firmware, but I don't think there is such a thing as bug free software. And, after all, this car is essentially a bunch of computers on four wheels.
