I placed placed an order 2 weeks ago for a GX4h Atlantic Grey through NHS solutions, the leaseing agents for NHS staff. The low BIC (even when taking into account future increases) makes it a great proposition. Just had an email from NHS solutions to say expected delivery mid December. Very excited.

Nice one! That's a good result on delivery.

The shape of the car really suits the grey IMO.

Get some pics up when it arrives.

Cheers . Yes I was surprised with the delivery and expected Feb/March. I think I just fell lucky possibly with a dealer having stock in Leeds.

We ordered ours a couple of weeks ago, still waiting for a delivery date. Hope its as quick as yours.

Just put mine in through NHS Solutions, too. Went for the G3h though as saves about £400 per annum and the reversing camera (the bit I would like) is a bit naff and personally I'd prefer the sensors. Other options are nice, but not £400 per annum nice; for me anyway. I couldn't believe the rate - £238 pm! No way I could get this cheaper anywhere else. (G4h was £271 pm.)

Excellent deal David. My GX4h comes in at 300 so you have done well. For what you get I dont think you can beat it. Mines set for delivery a week on Friday. Can't wait.

Well that's saved me a speculative email to Knowles Assocites then, thanks. I'm not due to change for a few months, but was hoping the prices were something like that. Combined with the low BIK and commuting on electric only, it should save me about £1500 a year over my current car.

What sort of mileage did your quotes allow for?

Ours was delivered yesterday. The car is fantastic. Went for a short drive and it drives like a space ship. Really pleased with it.

Nice one! I have just had confirmation from NHS Solutions that my order has gone through and is now with the leasing company. Now the wait till my current lease ends (end of April) and delivery of my new, Atlantic Grey G3. I must say, I did have last minute jitters about cancelling and going for the G4, but my frugal side won through! I had to tell myself - I can open the boot faster than the motor, the satnav on my phone is better, heated seats make me feel like I've wet myself, I can get digital radio through the bluetooth connection on my phone, heating the car remotely is just going to frustrate me logging in and out of the network, leather is hot in summer and cold in winter and as for the sunroof, erm... can't think of anything on that - bugger, I should have gone for the G4!!!

Now a four month wait so I can become a mileage pedant...

The G3 is a perfectly valid solution provided you understand that it will burn more petrol in the winter. The disgruntled G3 owners round here are the ones who expected to run on near-100% electric all the year round and do not recognise that some of the five grand they saved on the purchase price of the car is going to go into the fuel tank instead.

Wolfy I have a GX3h and for the same reasons you did chose not to go with the GX4h.

A couple of things you may want to ask your lease company to have done prior to picking up the vehicle as these have to be done by Mitsubishi.

- The rain sensing wipers I find are close to useless however the dealer can change them to standard intermittent or speed sensitive intermittent.

- There have been posts about the autofold mirrors jamming in sub zero temperatures. They can be set to manual however again require a dealer to do this.

On another note when you do get it I find it best to turn the climate control off (if it is on) before I exit the vehicle to stop ICE auto kicking in when I start the car the next time I'm in it (of course that is due to time of year). That way I can control the ICE, like when I'm leaving for work at 5.45AM if no frost, I can glide away and then turn the heating on to warm the car up once I'm out of my residential area.

I suspect that most people will think more of the comforts than the costs, though. Mind you, the costs would be minimal, I suspect. The advantage is pre-heating while plugged in (not sure of any other around this subject?). This would keep give a few minutes of heat prior to the car cooling during the winter, when being driven, and then the heater would need to be on anyway. That would require the ICE, or if it used the battery would reduce EV range.

I'm sure there are smart people who read this forum who have also worked out the extra weight of the sunroof, boot motor, electric heater and other bits and bobs and come up with the reduced EV range through additional weight. If they have, kudos, but really, they must stop!

Thanks Ozukus, that's helpful information. I assumed the intermittent wipers were controlled through the dash like most cars. Are you saying that to change the intermittent frequency it has to be done through the dealer? I quite like the intermittent to be more frequent than not, so what would you recommend; standard or speed sensitive? Cheers.

You do have variable control over the intermittent rate. The problem is that its set to rain sensitive that behaves erratically. When I do have to take it to a dealers I'm going to get it changed to standard intermittent, which is what I'm used to from every other car I've owned.

GX4h owners can change this through their MMCS so maybe some of them can comment on how well speed sensitive works.

I find that the default rain-sensitive setting works well provided the screen is very clean and you are prepared to adjust the sensitivity from time to time - don't rush to switch to intermittent.

...

If you've ever had a sunroof jam open in the rain (like me) then you'd have a good reason not to want one

Hello Wolfy. Bill Robson who owns Teeside Mitsubishi, Darlington hand delivered ours and as well as owning a PHEV is very knowledgeable with the car. It seems that NHS solutions use this dealer to source the cars and get hold of them quickly. Also Glen Proudlock at solutions deals with delivery and is also very helpful. Both I think will help with model queries. All the best.
