End of the the UK subsidy..
I saw a notice this week that our lease company is closing the books on orders for the Mercedes C350e as its been so successful Mercedes won't be able to supply them in time before its anticipated the £5000 government subsidy ends. Its a vehicle in the same boat as the PHEV sort of, nearly £38,000 list price and 48g/km although its EV range is even shorter.
It seems that Mitsubishi is able to turn out PHEV's at a far faster rate as there has been no such restriction on them yet.
I wonder how sales of both will do when the subsidy does end. I am locked out our quoting system until my next renewal cycle (stupid policy!) so I can't see what will happen to the lease price after the purchase price rises by £5000 so I don't know if it will still be attractive.
