Hi,

I have now had my gx3h for 4 weeks and am loving it! Just a quick question when charging, sometimes the time needed to charge appears on the dash but other times doesn't. Am I doing something wrong as once ive plugged in it doesn't tell me how long it will take to charge the battery. Also what exactly does the Eco button do? Ive used now a few times and seem to get a few more miles on electric charge when it is used but how?

Many thanks, love this forum, great for sharing ideas and knowledge,

Hi,
Can't help with why the display doesn't always gve a time to charge for you. It usually works OK for me but sometimes takes a little while to come up.
The ECO button reduces the amount of power the A/C can use, I think it also reduces the frequency the engine will run to provide heat, and reduces the sensitivity of the throttle so that setting off is a little smoother and you are less likely to start the engine by demanding more power than the battery alone can provide.
Kind regards,
Mark

The charge time will show --:-- when the battery only has a little taken out and is plugged in to recharge. I make a rule to only recharge when the battery is under half full. Continued recharging of essentially a full battery will reduce the battery life and reduce the driving range on the indicated full battery. I still get 50km on the full battery for EV only trips since adopting the under half battery remaining before recharge strategy.

The occasional top up will not hurt, but try and avoid making it a habit.
