Central Front Armrest Query

This has to be the question of the year!

On the underside of the actual armrest lid there are holding sections cut out. Like if fuel cards, a phone or tissues can be left in - although none of these fit.

Anybody an idea of what the slots are for? It's on MY16, presume on earlier one too.

Have a look under the lid, and my description might make more sense!

One is for small packet of tissues (I do have a packet that fits)
the other is a pen clip.
(15 reg 7 months old- does that make it a MY15??)

As Carnut says. Also in the glovebox lid, only spotted recently, is a holder for fuel card / charge card or similar.

I noticed whilst working with Japanese engineers and business men that they all carry a small packet of tissues unlike Brits and many Europeans who use cotton handkerchiefs. I for one feel something is missing if I don't start the day with a clean and pressed handkerchief in my pocket.

When this came up before - I use mine for folded plastic carrier bags, so there are some in the car when I go shopping - saving the planet & 5p at time. :mrgreen: I prefer a real box of tissues between the glove box & joystick - try dealing with a car sick child with pocket tissues :lol:
