CarPlay new layout IOS 13

Quick question I have a iPhone XS Max and the new CarPlay split screen
Layout out gives me map plus 2 slots
It’s seems it should be map plus 3 slots
Tried local Mitsubishi dealers iPhone 7 comes up with 3 slots
Mechanics iPhone X 2 slots

I would like 3 slots as seems easier to navigate

Anyone with iPhone XS Max or iPhone X managed to set 3 slots?

To answer my own question it seems if you have a calendar appointment the 3 rd slot will show up

Thanks for that. I did wonder, but I couldn't comment as my old model has none of those bells and whistles

I quickly stopped using this layout when I realised you can only use apple maps as the nav, I hope I’m wrong.

I quickly stopped using this layout when I realised you can only use apple maps as the nav, I hope I’m wrong.

You can use other mapping apps (like Google or Waze) to actually perform navigation. But Apple Maps will always appear as the map app in that view specifically.
