Bought an outlander Phev from 2020. No problem charging it with from a regular socket 220V to my Type 1 port. But when I try to charge it with a charginbox with a cable, type 2 to typ 1 it wont work.

I have tried diffrent cables, diffrent charging boxes, what do I do wrong?

Sorry

Not sure what you mean by a charging box.

If you live in North America and if you mean a Battery Box with built in Inverter. When using it on 120V ,you need an adapter to ground the Neutral as all these Charging boxes have an open Neutral.

Not sure what is needed if using 240V for type 2, sorry.

The correct term for the device for charging the PHEV is an EVSE - Electric Vehicle Service Equipment.
But most people just call them Chargers.

If by "charging box" you mean a portable 220V Battery Power Station, then if you plug in your 220V EVSE it's possible it might work, if the Power Station can supply 220V and up to 16 Amps, and is grounded as PHEV7 suggests.

But I don't see how you would attach a Type2 to Type1 cable to a Power Station.

If you really mean you drove to a public Charge Point, that should work with the Type2 to Type1 cable, as it is using the same equipment on the car as your home charger.

So either the cable is faulty, but you've tried others.
Or the Charge Point architecture isn't happy with the PHEV, so try at a different site.

I've got a 2020 and level 2 charger, have you calibrated the connection cable? My Victron EVSE has a setting to "calibrate" if it's not done it doesn't connect.
