Car ignition Issue (Power ON)

Hi Guys,

I have an issue with my Outlander PHEV, bought 2 weeks back ( 2nd hand car )

Model : 2015 ( Facelift Instyle+ )
Mileage : 125K

Issue : When I press the power button while depressing the brake ( and the car is in "P" mode ), the car asks me to depress the break and start. When I press the power button again, it goes to the "Ready" mode. So, I always have to press the power button 2 times to get the "Ready" mode.

And, sometimes, It shows me some errors in the dash, like "ACC service is required". But it goes away automatically or if I switch off the car and start again.

This behaviour is so weird to me.

I'll be pleased if you have/had the same issue and the root cause of the issue.

My previous 2013/14 model behaved similarly.I never thought twice about it for seven years and 160.000 km. IMO it is not something to worry about.

I think you are not getting the start sequence quite right - still happens to me occasionally after over 7 years - you get better at it, eventually :roll:
