I'm posting this as a separate thread to the one claiming 'dead after software update' since not all the symptoms are the same. Here's a recount:
-Charged car to full cap on July 29th. Drove in EV mode with 1/3 of battery drained. Plugged in car for charging overnight.
-AM of July 30th, unplugged car. Then:
-Electric lock button did not respond.
-Unlock button on key did not respond.
-Entered car using 'manual' key.
-On pushing start button, console cycled through every (I assume) warning available, in this order: 'close fuel cap lid', 'Electrical system service required', 'brake system service required', 'FCM service required', 'ACC service required', 'RBS service required', 'close hood', 'engine overheating stop safely', 'limited driving mode', 'asc system service required', '4wd system service required', 'LDW system service required', 'EV system service required stop safely'.
-The power would not turn off until start\stop button was depressed for several seconds.
-Main driving lights came on (was parked in garage)
-None of the 3 rear doors would open.
-Cabin lights would not work.
My immediate suspicion was a dead 12v batt. Called MAP for service, whom dispatched a tow truck. NO CHANGE in situation using a booster pack as described in owners manual.
The car was then transported to the dealer. The problem was still persisting as I left.
I received a phone from the dealer later: The car had come to life normally, and was driven into the service garage. This is where it gets interesting:
-NO FAULTS were logged\found in the ECU diagnostics.
- ALL BATTERIES tested with good charge.
The car was then driven for a few kms, tested start\stop on\off several times, without further incident.
The dealer is keeping the car overnight to repeat test and consult with importer\tech specialists.
A few side notes:
-Car bought in Norway, July 23rd. 680km on the clock.
-Remote software was updated on Sunday 27th July. Current version is 1.3.5.
It would be strange indeed if the remote software is somehow jamming regular operations! However, it is plausible since the car came to life once my iPhone was out of range of the car's wifi.
I will post an update once I have something new. Please report if you experience similar problems!
Cheers,
Jonathan
