Even though I purchased some proper car clay what works best is blue tac with water as a lubricant.

apparently the idea for car clay came from someone in the States seeing custom car guys cleaning their cars.. All I know it works on my sons Toyota and my wife's Renault , haven't used on mine yet. lol
