Recently had it serviced where I always go and left it with them for a day came to collect the next day and I was told there was corrosion on the I think they said Earth strap that leads to the rear battery and it would have to be sent to a Mitsubishi dealership any advice welcome.

Would that be the 12 volt battery under the boot floor?

If so I can't see that being a major problem. Can't imagine the traction battery will have an earth strap

The steel case holding the traction battery will most probably have a braided cable connections to an earth point on the chassis.

If it's corroded to the extent that it's almost severed then it will need replacing.

A corroded earth strap inside the car sounds a bit unlikely/worrying.

My 2017 had a failed braided strap that grounds the rear motor. Might that be the case with yours? If so, it's a straightforward fix if you have access to a ramp ... or are adept at limbo dancing 🤔.
