    The car always starts in EV mode, then after driving a block or so, the gas engine comes on and stays on for 10 minutes or so. I don't think there has been any service updates, but I always take it back to the dealer for service.

    I have a 2019 Outlander PHEV and I live in Minnesota. The first winter, the gas engine came on only when the temperature was 5F or lower. The second winter, it came on whenever the temp was 15F or lower, the third winter it came on when the temp was 25F or lower, the 4th winter, 35F or lower...
