Any queries or suggestions of Mitsubishi Japan's engineers?

Thanks for the update. Keep up the good work!

    EVSE Fault

I'm not sure how you might prove to Mitsubishi that you have been using the suspension string correctly. But good luck with the warranty.

    mpg on long trips

Remember there’s no such thing as a “free lunch”! You might be right to describe regenerative breaking as providing “almost free electricity”, though, as it would otherwise be wasted. An important thing to recognise is that the electricity provided by the ICE is not as cheap as the electricity...

    Towing

Well, you could. But you shouldn't. I'm not sure that the tow bar would expect such forces (A-frame or trailer). I think the handbook may say something about towing (in case of emergency) and it may limit the speed to be towed at, if allowed at all. Probably cheaper to hire at your destination...

    Phone and Navigation

I don't think it's mentioned in the manual, but I have found that different sources play mono on different sides.

    Perhaps you "almost" did? ;)

    Delayed Delivery

Have you tried a different dealer?

    Long Distance MPG

I agree with everything except the conclusion in your last sentence. 10 litres is a large capacity for a bit of (even chunky) pipework. I think it more likely that most of them were still in the (bottom of the) tank before refilling.

Advise on getting the outlander PHEV

If you're looking for savings, I'm sure there are cheaper solutions, not involving electric motors. Charging away from home is impractical, certainly en route. If you can charge at your destination, that's different. The car you choose to own depends on many personal factors and what you intend...

    mpg on long trips

The problem with quoted mpg figures is that they totally ignore the electrical contribution. It makes any mpg figure meaningless. The car may tempt you to drive more patiently and return better fuel consumption as a result. I think my "raw" mpg is around 30mpg, overall, after taking away assumed...

    Electrical Usage

Yes, electricity does not come free! You could assume about 10kWh per charge (to keep the arithmetic easy) 250kWh would be about 25charges. So you recharge from empty, perhaps, every week day? I add the cost of fuel used to that of electric charging and am averaging around 12.5p/mile. It's...

Any queries or suggestions of Mitsubishi Japan's engineers?

I'd like to be able to swap units from miles to kilometres, when passing from UK to Europe. Much easier for adhering to speed limits, which they seem to be tightening-up on now.

Mitsubishi's stupidity and pride in forking MY2019 for USA

If it's any comfort, I'm not sure how much of an improvement the bigger engine is. True, the market is promising more choice in the near future. Interesting times, if you can be patient.

    Both guessometers gone bonkers.

I assume that you're describing a situation where you're next to empty (battery & fuel)? I also assume that the algorithms to calculate remaining distance determine some level of confidence and display the '---' when very uncertain, rather than mislead.

    First Poll for MMC Japan

What happened to 'Sticky Buttons'? I'd like it to remember the Speed Limiter settings and 'B-level' after I've switched off. EDIT: OK, I've since seen that 'Sticky Buttons' are in a "Second Poll"

    Poor Ev range

Not that cold, though? I was told to expect only 2/3 of range in Winter. Just shows how much people really know about these things. In Summer, there'll be AirCon to consider - just cannot win. Something that these things soon teach you, if you monitor the energy consumption, is how much fuel is...

    Poor Ev range

You should feel lucky. I'm only getting 14miles from a full charge and the vehicle's only a couple of months old (MY19).

    Risky decision or not?

I reckon you'll be fine. The engine will have charged the battery and the BMS should have made sure that the batteries were treated correctly. It has been used as a pure Hybrid, with no plug-in. Enjoy!

USB Port for media unit - what orientation

MY19 models don't have USB sockets in the armrest box but there is one behind it (for back seats). That can be used for data (CarPlay). I have routed an extension from that into the armrest box. If I forget to remove the phone, at least it remains out of sight and the cabling, too.

USB Port for media unit - what orientation

Do you need to have the phone "up front"? It may be tidier to use the rear USB socket and place the phone under the arm rest between the front seats.
