Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Finally had a chance to run the battery down with the App HVAC after the reset. My cell voltage is now 3.664 (2.3 kWh) when it shut the heater off. Was 3.794 (2.0 kWh) before the reset. (20.3%)

Why did Lindqvist work for you?

I finally able to reset the BMU using the low 12v method. - Drove drive battery empty. - Turned the car on but not in drive mode (start button twice without pressing brake). - Turned on as many high load 12v accessories as I could. Fan, High beams, seat heat, portable 12v cabin heater. Took...

Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Finally reset the BMU today! I tried every variation of the Lindqvist method that has been posted but couldn't get it to work. I just tried the "D-Method" and it worked. I have a 2018 North American model. Was still tricky getting the timing to work when connecting the 12v. Had to try three...

Triple Procedure & Setup (Costs around 80USD)

fprigge thanks for this update. I also have a 2018 Canadian model with only 22,000 km and now at 32.6 Ah. My dealership in Calgary won't entertain doing anything with my battery unless Mitsubishi tells them to. So I will probably have to use your procedure myself. Would be great if you lived...

Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Just tried it today. 12 volt off for 3:45. Back on 6:30 later after a 240 volt 15 amp charge. No difference in capacity. :( The DC/DC keeps the car on until full charge then everything shuts off. Power lift gate can't be opened after 12 volt disconnect. I tried to close it lightly to avoid...

Finally received my PHEV this week. I live in a colder climate so was interested in its various heaters. After living with the Leaf's heated steering wheel I was kind of disappointed at the small area that is heated on the PHEV wheel. The other heaters work very well and are too hot to touch. I...

Battery too cold for vehicle to operate warning display

Fortunately the North American version does have a battery heater that works when you plug the car in. But my concern is that the manual says if the battery gets cold while driving you need to stop the vehicle in a safe place. With all that extra heat from the ICE or even power from the 70 kW...

Battery too cold for vehicle to operate warning display

Hi, First post. Just reading the owners manual. I was quite surprised to see that this is a possible display from the vehicle. I would have thought that with a ICE engine nearby they could borrow some heat to keep the battery warm. Has anyone ever seen this message? I live in a cold...
