    Charge mode?

Yep I’ve occasionally had some smart arse comments…. Best ignored. What I would say having had the car for a while now is I feel I’m sort of growing into it and getting to know when and where to use each drive function. Agreed, the manual is daunting !!!

    Charge mode?

Interesting replies , thanks. I guess there will be lot of trial and error in learning the nature of the beast! It does seem to me at the early stages that a lot depends on each individuals driving style and the topography of the regular drives.

    Charge mode?

Im new to the Outlander Phev. Can anyone explain why on a reasonable run, ie 75-80 miles, you would not keep the car in 'charge' mode as opposed to 'normal' providing of course the battery is not full. It's maybe a dumb question but I'm not proud and do find the cars technology quite fascinating...

    PHEV off road not good!

Same. My previous was 96 Cherokee kept it for 16 years, have to say it never let me down. A little surprised at the limited clearance on my outlander, don't think Ill be venturing much off road but to be honest I think I knew that before I bought.

    Transmission fluid change.

Useful post Arthur. I'll get my local garage to do it, I don't have the space now to get the car up on ramps.

    Transmission fluid change.

Thanks for the response Dave. Definitely some things to consider along the way as the car ages.

    Transmission fluid change.

Morning, I have recently bought a 21 Outlander Phev with 18 K miles.. I have read a number of times during my research that I perhaps should consider changing the transmission fluid. I'm not sure about this and it seems perhaps an unnecessary expense. Has anyone any familiarity with this...

What does a new owner need to know?

Yes def agree with that. The last few miles of my trip home is coasting with no reduction in speed. It does feel to be honest that there is some propulsion going on .......... from motors maybe!!! but I'm not sure .

What does a new owner need to know?

Hi l/s Can I ask you why you knock it in to B5. It doesn't seem to make sense to me surely when you accelerate you are accelerating against your B5 braking force ? I'm probably not getting something I'm new to Outlander Phew. I have to say tho I am finding it fascinating to use and adds an...

    Overnight charging in Europe.

Hi all, I'm hoping to take my Outlander to Europe at some stage and am pretty sure I've read somewhere that charging with an extension lead to the the mains 3 pin socket in the UK is not a good idea, which I don't do. Whilst in Europe, however, I will have to use an adapter at accommodation to...

    B5 default?

Hi Chris Can I ask you why you select B5? I'm a new owner and when I start up I set to B0 and only use B5 by paddling on down hill stretches and as a replacement to the foot brake where possible to recharge the EV battery. I was just curious why you would start off in B5, am I missing...
