Your wife may have the same condition as my wife - Hyper Thyroid.
She swings between feeling very hot, and cold, when everyone else is fine.
Like cold east wind, everyone in parkas hats and and gloves, she's in her tee-shirt.
"Are you saying that you have no thermometer inside your home?"
That's right, we have a thermostat that we turn up if we feel cold, turn down if we feel hot.
Same as the climate control on the car.
My 2014 11kWh has a over 9 UK gallon fuel tank and does a 240 mile journey without refueling.
If you use the modes correctly you get a third to half the journey on battery.
I've never tried it but I'd guess over 300 mile range.
I had no luck syphoning my 2014.
I reset by disconnecting the 12V battery neg lead.
Then did some long journeys that involved using CHARGE mode half the time.
Then added 15L.
I found the second fuse box on my 2014 RHD.
I eventually found the "fuse box locations" in the handbook, I'd only found the "fuse location tables" section.
Both tables agree with Pilot's images.
On my 2014 I could only find one fusebox in the engine compartment.
The fusebox lid identified the relay as R5 and an image like the dashboard engine check light.
Rough UK figures for my 11kWh model:
11kWh @ 70p/kWh = £7.70 at a charging station.
Which takes you 20 to 25 miles - agreed ?
Petrol is about £7 per gall.
Which takes you about 30 to 40 miles - agreed ?
You have to charge at home, typically at 7p to 15p with the right tariff.
Has the EVSE ever worked at your house?
Or is it a new one ?
There may be an earth leakage or poor earth in your house or car that the EVSE doesn't like.
Did the dealership plug in to your car and there was no fault light ?
Yes, took me a while to get the "muscle memory" of "back for forwards".
Despite having had automatic cars for years, where D is back from P.
My selector occasionally stays in the D position instead of springing back.
Causes a continuous double beep.
I agree with Ecological's opinion on UK driving conditions - high average speeds are very difficult to achieve.
Our 220 mile journey from Wiltshire to York to visit our son takes 5 hours, an average of 44mph.
By contrast, in France I used to drive 630 miles from Dunkerque (Channel coast) to...
"High revving for petrol engines means they are in their most effective state."
Sort of, it all depends on the design of the engine, and it's intended use.
"Normal" ICE engines tend to have peak power at higher revs than peak torque.
Hybrid ICE engines tend to have peak power at around the...
