U109E fault code

Hi,
I have a 2016 outlander phev gx4 that displays EV service required on the dashboard and has a fault code U109E logged on an odb2 scanner that will not clear.
The main entertainment head unit will not show EV range or total range.
I have attached pictures of the odb2 scanner result.
Any help with this would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

TROUBLE JUDGEMENT

The PHEV-ECU stores diagnosis code No. U109E when it cannot communicate with the electrical parking lock driver unit via CAN correctly.

PROBABLE CAUSES



Malfunction of CAN bus
Malfunction of electrical Parking Driver Unit
Malfunction of PHEV-ECU

Quick question:

Did you have the scanner plugged in to the vehicle before the code was generated?

Some users have reported that the scanners themselves cause errors on CANBUS...
