Hi guys,

Im new to this forum and i hope i can find the answers i am looking for here. I just bought the phev and am trying to figure out a few things.

First of all the multimedia system is in japanese and i would like to know if it can be changed to english?

I haven't tried to use the bluetooth connection but could somebody please tell me how to connect an iPhone to the system.

Also how many cameras are there apart from the reverse and the left side mirror? and how do i toggle between the camera views?

Thanks in advance!

Yes you change the MMCS language, but sounds like your dealer hasn't done a pre delivery inspection. I'd get that sorted in case there's other stuff they've not checked.

What model phev have you got, would help people be able to answer your question. I've not heard of a wing mirror camera, you sure you have one?!

BT easy, > settings (button under MMCS) pair phone, done. I think it can only be done when stationary.

That's different to pairing your phone for the app via wifi. There's a whole thread on that as it's complicated involving blipping remote on and off 10 times in under 10 seconds but I'm not going to write it all out, just search the forum for 'pair phone wifi'

Which country are you in? Because the last similar query was from Sri Lanka with a "grey import" with little or no in-country dealer support.

thanks for your quick responses. I am located in sri lanka. The vehicle was bought from a car sales with the seller having no idea on how to operate the vehicle. I am unsure of how to use the vehicle on battery alone or on hybrid modes. I am also unsure how to use the paddle shifters and the head unit which is my main concern as the whole thing is in japanese.

Any help would be really appreciated. This is a 2014 late model fully loaded with RF sound system.

i don't know if this is going to be the same as the Japanese version but here is how it works on the UK spec mmcs:

Changing MMCS language:

Press the button under the MMCS (the left one of three in UK). Its called "settings" but that may show as "設定"

the next screen has 2 columns of text. In the first column there are 4 options. The 4th (bottom of the list) is "system". "システム"

press that, and the next screen also has 2 columns. Again, 1st column has 4 options, the 2nd column has 3 options.

In column 1, the second option is "language" or "言語"

when you press that, you get to choose the language. In mine, "English" is highlighted top left, but I don't know where it is on the Japanese version. Look out for either "english" or "英語"

Hope that helps

this is how to pair the phone to the car WIFI, not for calls/audio through bluetooth, but for the app. : http://www.mitsubishi-motors.com/en/products/outlander_phev/app/remote/jizen.html

Thanks I just tried that but after settings and the step there after the display options are different from what you had mentioned. I wonder if u buy another head unit from the UK and install that would it perhaps work ?
