Strange cracking sound fom underside...anyone?????

Hi all,

Just completed 6,000 miles in my PHEV, a strange and disturbing cracking sound has developed.
Sounds like its form the underside, anyone else had this problem???...

It's not just cooling down after a long trip by any chance?

Sadly not from cooling.

Usually happens at slow speed after changing from reverse to forward and vice versa mostly at the read and sometimes after breaking mid body and front any ideas???

Very strange.....

There was a thread about the rear differential seal failing - I'd have a look underneath & then a trip to the dealer - as failure of the diff will be expensive
