Steering wheel and the radio

I have a 2017 with apple car play and a touch screen. Is there a way to uses buttons on the steering wheel to switch between preprogrammed stations on fm radio/dab? The left/right buttons are causing my radio to tune (I.e go from 95:3 to 95.7)

My kids always want to change songs and pressing the screen is annoying and requires keeping that as the display all the time.

On my much earlier version, those buttons switch between preset stations on the car radio.

I'd check to see if you have presets have been set up...
