Sat nav confused

For the last couple of months the sat nav unit has been confused about the cars location and direction of travel for example at the moment the phev is parked at my home in Essex, but the sat nav thinks it is in Peterborough! Any suggestions on possible cause and solution?

Have you had any work done under the Dashboard that could have resulted in the GPS antenna being unplugged?

Or anything above the Dashboard that is blocking the antenna's reception?
