Remote App problems with Samsung j5 2016

Just changed my phone to a Samsung j5 2016 with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow software. Previously had a Samsung s4 with which the remote app worked fine. Deleted this phone from registration but cannot get J5 to register.

Have re-added S4 and even my tablet running windows 10 without trouble and both work app ok.

Have deleted them as explained previously on this forum and the Mitsubishi web site, but to no success with J5.

Believe problem stems from the Android 6.0 + software. Has anyone connected a phone with this ?

Any suggestions welcome or will resume with my tablet.

I recently got a new phone (Google Pixel).

Turns out I had to manually turn off mobile data before opening the app, and then it worked.

Android really likes being connected to the internet, so I guess it notices that the car's wifi has no internet connection.
