Rear Tailgate ?

My tailgate doesn't seem to want to open electrically. If I press either the key-fob, internal switch or the tailgate switch: it unlocks bleebs several times and has to be opened manually!

Have I inadvertently switched the auto open setting OFF? Ideas welcome

There's a small on/off push button at the bottom of the centre fascia in front of the gearstick. Can get pushed by accident and cause the effect you are seeing.

Mind you it wasn't by accident it was switched off but an inquisitive grandson

It's a useful function though for when you have things on the back, like a bike rack, or long things on the roof.
