Hello all,
since a couple of weeks our Outlander PHEV gives a audible warning when we select Reverse.
I'll add a link to a youtube vid for the exact sound. I've allready searched here and on google, found 2 other people with this problem but sadly no solution was posted.
Apparently I should be able to find out if a parking sensor is faulty by holding a screwdriver against it and that should resonate, but our front parking sensors are working and they don't resonate either.
I've read somewehere that the double short beep indicated that 2 sensors should be faulty but I'm not sure of that.
Bringing the car to the dealership here in the Netherlands is an easy fix, but I always like to learn and fix things myself.
I already tried the wd40 trick, to no avail sadly.
Haven't been able to find a video on how to remove the sensors from the bumper either, maybe I can clean them out/ blowdry them that way
Any suggestions?
