Petrol Cap Rubber Washer/Seal

Hi All,

I have a UK 2016 5gh with only 29,000 on the clock.

Yesterday after filling up, the petrol cap wouldn’t twist back into place and naturally the cap wasn’t a tight fit.

On closer examination, the petrol cap’s rubber washer/seal had moved out of place and become twisted due to the fact that it was starting to split in some places and looked as though it was beginning to perish.

Never had this happen on any of my previous cars!

Had anyone else had this problem and does anyone know where I can buy a replacement washer/seal [apart from my local dealer]?

Hiya!

Here in Oz there is a chain called 'Clarke Rubber' which is the go to for anything like this.

Fridge seals, O rings, boat rollers, etc. etc. etc.

Hopefully you'll have something similar near you.
