MY2017 GX4H no Android Auto/apple carplay??

I've just purchased a S/H 2017 4h model. I was expecting this to have Android auto & apple carplay

When using the infotainment I can't see how to get these working, I plug in my phone and nothing initialises

Can by one advise?

The infotainment is the older style with physical buttons on the side
