Hi,

I took my car to my local garage (who has served me well for years!) to have a service and replace my brake pads.

However, he has had for three days because the car now warns "parking brake service required" and has high volume beeping noise.

Is anyone able to advise how to resolve?

Thanks

Chris

It probably needs the computer to be reset. One of the reasons why these cars are better not serviced by workshops that lack the training and knowledge to do so. It is even possible to lose your guaranty by having the service done by a garage that is not authorized byMitsubishi.

i suspect your man has dried to pushback the pistons without engaging service mode.

If so, he will need to supply you 2 new rear calipers.

After doing a repair the correct way there is no reset to do, just pull up the lever and it comes out of service mode

Thank you both - i will suggest both of these actions today. However, based on my discussions i think it is the caliper issue.

You live and learn and the mechanic is a stand up guy.

Cheers
