Does cell smoothing actually work to increase EV range?

Does anyone have experience using the cell smoothing process for the drive battery and how much increase in range resulted? Done at dealer or at home? I recall seeing someone post instructions for how to do this at home, but cannot seem to find those. Would be grateful for any ways to increase range of my 2018 PHEV GT or know of anything that Mitsubishi is doing for owners with reduced EV range. Thanks!

What part of the World do you live in.

I used to have a 2018 PHEV -GT and had no success to speak of. North American model specifically in Canada.

Dealer did it once and Battery SOH increased from 60% to 84% but the second time they tried only went from 60% to 74%.

I traded up to 2022 in 2022 then in Apr 2024 traded up to a 2024. I have not checked tge SOH yet but hope to after 1 year ownership

Thanks PHEV07. I am in N. America also. When your battery SOH increased from 60 to 84%, I assume that your EV range increased proportionally; is that correct? That result might almost be worth the $100 or so the dealer charges. I saw a post a while back in which the author described how to do the cell smoothing proceedure (or something similar) at home. If anyone has such info, I would be grateful to know it so I can try that. My 2018 now (in winter) shows only 10 miles on a full charge and probably only goes 7 or 8 miles on elec.
