Charging port door

I have a charging port door on my 2023 Outlander PHEV that will not open sometimes. I have been putting up with this for a year and it seems the dealer did not get a fix from Mitsubishi. I as much as drove to the dealer and they got to see the failure. I am frustrated that sometimes I cannot charge my car because all attempts of opening a door fails. I've tried locking and unlocking doors even with the key and the door switch. Even the unlock multiple times. Has anyone else had this failure and did their dealer fix it?
