Change old MMCS for 2017 Apple play

Does anyone know if it’s possible to swap out the older non-apple play model with the newer version with ?

I don’t want to swap for a non Mitsubishi unit as I want to retain the standard info display

My recent experience would suggest that the software in the various modules has to MATCH the software in the head unit.

IF that's true, then the answer would be no.

I was under the impression that they lost all access to Mitsubishi software when they did that.

And by extension, to all the "remote" module stuff.
