Hi Peeps, just wondering what the Aux battery does in my Phev, does the stereo use it, is it just for startup? and does it charge off the main battery or a separate alternator? Cheers all.

The 12 v battery is for everthing except the driveline. It do not start the ICE, the generator starts the ICE.
It is charged from the main battery whenever needed or once a day if the car is stationary.
It certainly powers the vast majority of the electrical systems on the car - I'm pretty sure that the heating comes directly off the high voltage supply.
