Auto-hold 'not available'

I always use the auto-hold feature and thought is there a way to make it come into effect every time you start rather than having to remember to push the button every time. Knowing that you can stop the a/c coming on automatically by pushing the button for 10 seconds I thought the opposite may work with the auto-hold button. Having tried it (rather stupidly), I now have the legend on screen saying 'auto-hold is not available'..... Holding the button down for another 10 seconds does not reverse matters. Anyone know what I should try to get auto-hold back? Thanks.

I guess you need a reset.
Look around for a small hole that you can push the end of a paperclip into...
