So while at my hunting cabin my outlander just died overnight. I left it plugged in the charger but this morning the lights didnt come on, the car doesnt respond to the keys, it wont charge when plugged back in either. Its a 2014 model.

I put The old batterycharger on the fuse box but it simply wont go above 1 bar on the 12v charger. Its only -8 celsius.... This car is going to get me killed some day, its going to be -20 soon. Iam remote enough that it will take a day for someone to pick me up and towing the car trough the narrow forest paths is undoable. Never buying another one of these junkheaps... cant afford another car and the dealership wont help out.

Take the 12V Aux battery indoors to warm up, then charge it.

Not the "junk cars" fault that you don't maintain it.

Michael......That's a little rough of a reply

Few Batteries last more than 6 years, let alone 10 years.

Arian, as Andy has posted, it does sound like a bad battery.

At 10 years of age, it should be replaced, especially for driving in temperatures lower than 0'C.

Better safe than sorry.
