I'm sure it's in the manual somewhere but I can't find the procedure ?

Is it possible to lock the car but not activate the alarm ? Would like to leave the dog in the back but she keeps setting it off.

locking with the mechanical key will certainly do what you are looking for...

This has been discussed before. I can't seem to find a proper link but if you search for the topic 'Motion Sensors Off?' you should find some discussion!

you are right! I happen to have my owner's manual on the table next to me at the moment and can tell you that the procedure is to move the wiper control to the "Mist" position for several seconds with the systems set to off. This toggles the interior movement sensors on or off - near the end of section 4 of the manual...

Just about to post that answer as I just found it from a bit of forum searching . Thanks for all the help :D

I love the car and the technology, however, I do find some of the human interfaces frustrating. A good example is the answer above, another one is the registering the mobile app - pressing the lock/unlock on the key fob 10 times.

I can see significant improvements in this area will be required as more of this type of vehicle enter the market.
I'm sure that lots of this type of stuff could have been done more simply from the infotainment system.

It is a bit clunky, isn't it? Though, to be fair on them, they have to design an interface that will work without the big MMCS touch screen - the GX3h doesn't have that. There are a lot of options that can be configured and Mitsubishi would have to add a lot of extra buttons to make it all work cleanly without the MMCS.

I'm surprised they didn't insist you simultaneously flash the headlights 5 times whilst patting your head and rubbing your tummy anticlockwise. That would have seemed the logical way to disable the interior alarm to me. :D
