Which advice is incorrect? He did say 15A to 10A adaptors which is different to what you were talking about.

    ACC and EV service required

You are going to need a service tech or someone with the MUT3 Mitzi Diagnostic tool to clear those codes before it will run properly again.

    Trunk Battery

Like you I have replaced mine wirh a Lithium battery and has been working great for at least 2 years now. Only comment I would make is I see the above batteries are only 20Ah vs the original that is 40-59Ah. Isn’t generally an issue for normal day to day running however if someone has a couple...

Traction battery replacement US MY2018 GT

Hi, I have replaced my 40Ah pack with 58Ah cells very successfully. You don’t get to use the extra capacity but am working on that too through various options but as a direct replacement it does with work but definitely not straight forward.

    Compulsory traction battery servicing?

Hi, I am in NZ. We had a 2018 PHEV and my then ex partner had the car and they made her get one for the “Battery Warranty”. It was Simon Lucas in Newmarket. I didn’t say much at the time as we were separated however after looking into it, I found that no other countries did it. We have a very...

"EV System Service Required and degraded performance

If you have a dealer that has the proper Mitsubishi MUT3 diagnostic tool, they can set it to record and then drive the car and it should record any faults that show up in that time. The CMU’s are on each battery module. There are 10 of them and they are also part of the fault scanning so if...

How To Charge At A Charging Station

Can you please explain this? The outlanders up to about 2019/20 (I Think) actually only draw 50A from the Fast Chargers when running at full and this is only for a short time as they have small battery packs the voltage rises fairly quickly and then the car starts reducing the charging current...

    Increasing/Upgrading - Higher Battery Capacity

Why do you think it will show a faster degradation?

    Increasing/Upgrading - Higher Battery Capacity

It makes sense when you know how it works. The reason for the different ranges on the same pack is because one is just replacing the pack with larger batteries but using the stock settings in the vehicle so the car won’t recognize the extra capacity and the extended version uses a CAN Bridge to...

Replaced the traction battery's modules - success

Hi, No I replaced the cells with larger cells which has a lot of added benefits. Currently working on a service to provide people with degraded packs and upgrade to take the car back to original. Also by putting in a larger pack it won’t degrade as fast as it isn’t working as hard, takes fast...

Replaced the traction battery's modules - success

Nice work! I have done the same with my 2015 and as you say it drives like new. I put a larger pack in mine and have found quite a few other benefits too. With regards to the AC, did they use the correct insulating oil? “The oil spec is MA68EV (i.e., non-conductive POE, rather than the usual...

Please explain the charge profile you are talking about and how it is not suitable for alternative batteries?

2014 model - HV Battery leak (OBC codes included)

The car operates perfectly fine with no charge in the air conditioning system. Obviously if the battery gets to hot it will flag up an error but doesn't effect it as far as normal driving and charging bit standard and fast charging.

BMU Reset after DIY high voltage battery swap.(need help)

You are better to fully charge the car and then reset the BMU etc. if you do it at mid or low charge it takes the car a long time to sort itself out.

Struggling with this fast charging business

Hi, there is a big misconception about charging the outlanders past 80% because of damage etc. the fact is they aren’t actually really fast charging anyway on the Chademo chargers. I have a 2015 with a 40AH battery. The Standard charge rate for most batteries is 1C so in the case of a 40AH...

Beeping while standing still or driving under 20km/h. Help 🫢

Hi, is there any 3rd party devices connect like maybe a Toll Road unit or something? It just doesn’t sound like a typical Mitzi beep for warnings etc.
