buying highmile with recent battery 'birthday'

After the "tricky" reset the battery is 60 days old and 100% SOH So, this PHEV lost 5% SOH in 37 days ,,, that means the battery is relative bad. How you can check real SOH on a PHEV ? Not trivial .. it is needed to have the WatchDogApp, drive at least 50% of the EV range from full battery...

    Battery warranty

Same for this link : it does redirect me to: www.autoverleden.nl Asking 9.99 for get an history .. similar to many other VIN history web site (actually 9.99 is relative cheap, I did paid more years ago when I was checking some car before considering a purchasing , an old Ferrari 348 and Ferrari...

    Battery warranty

Does not work for me .. at least not for free. If I put the old (3y expired) NL car plate on the site: https://www.kentekencheck.nl/ .. nothing is founded.

    Battery warranty

Can you get the service history of the car ? Mine was having 120.000km when I got it, and the service book included was consistent with car mileage. I would assume that reset/change the ODO is quite complicated .. and it is even a crime in many countries. EDIT: From a battery report from...

    Battery warranty

Yes the Outlander with latest facelift it is looking better Latest Outlander has a 13kwh battery and an EV and Sport mode buttons which are nice improvement As well, latest Outlander has 2.4L ICE vs 2.0L .. Still ... full price for me it is too much ... I took my PHEV 2nd hand for save some...

    Battery warranty

AC can consume 1kw Heating even 4kw 1kw constant consumption at 50km/h (in city will be even slower), it means 2kwh more every 100km ... and since this PHEV in the city can do 18kwh/100km ... it is over 10% extra consumption In my PHEV when I have 40km ev range and I click on AC ... I get...

    Battery warranty

Get an OBD2 adapter and instal PHEVwatchDog apps on your android phone. Check on the list of supported OBD2 adapter first, not all will work with the apps. Once you have the app on your phone you can check the "real" battery condition. In some countries there is a warranty up to 8y and...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

Andy does not test the methods that he "advertise" on his videos ... so ... he just bounce around somebody else "methods" without having any clue what is working and what it is not That's why check on this forum is a better way then not check his videos. I never said that Lindqvist method has...

Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Update on my PHEV SOH : 320km or 25 days after and ~10 full charge (212Ah charged) SOH dropped to 37.4 (5x 0.1Ah drop , after 1st charge I got 37.9Ah ..so possibly 0.1Ah drop already on 1st charge) What I see, is that SOH drop after every battery full charge (almost all) .. if I partially...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

The guy just bounce around what he can read on the net, he did not experiment any of these method We can find more information here and in FB, then not on his videos ... Success rate is 50% on Lindqvist method .. and possibly the D method is even a bit more I think are more the people that...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

Let me polish this a bit: Absolutely NOT ... the PHEV believe in the new SOH that is bigger now after the BMU reset. Possibly the battery was having a better SOH compared to 32Ah ... but definitely since battery degradation it is a real thing, 38Ah as SOH after a BMU reset, it is a bigger...

Lindqvist method : DIY BMU Battery Reset

Up . Up ... ... everybody focus on D method ... while the original method and its short variation get dusted away

    Full tanks range test!

Yes the PHEV is very stable till the full speed of 170km/h .. but going full speed without any reserve is not "comfortable" Yes ... 150km/h sounds the good speed for drive in "comfort" in Germany Only issue is that the PHEV over 120km/h consume a lot .. at 150km/h even more for my taste...

    Full tanks range test!

Speaking of total cost of ownership and SUV ... I believe a Dacia Duster diesel might be more cost efficient then an Outlander PHEV ... the PHEV lose in depreciation more then whatever gain in fuel economy could be achieved. But ... owning a car .. it is not only about being "cheap" .. but as...

    Full tanks range test!

Thanks for the trip card ;) Yes your PHEV has a relative "consumed" battery .. SOH ~31.6Ah , Min Voltage down to 3.58v (which for summer time is quite bad), and max delta 0.43v (again quite high) .. max temp 35c .. which is good since it implies the battery cooling system is still perfectly...

    Full tanks range test!

I thought I was crazy to drive 1360km in one shot ... but 10h drive without a break ... is maybe even more :o :? :o My last long trip ... in 11h I did cover 1360km ... consumed 10.4L/100km ... average speed around 130km/h .. top speed around 250km/h .. I had to make 2 fuel stop (5/10 min...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

Yes it make sense ... About driving and looking the Dog ... yes don't do it ... (not because the Police, since for some German/Australian driver is not a mayor issue ... not only for looking on the Dog, but as well, for making video & moving the camera while driving :? ) ... Still ...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

So .. the screenshot showing 3.68v and 30.4% SOC is at the end of trip with a bit of "gas" ... it would have been more significant without any "gas" in my view ... What for me is relevant is to check how much SOC drop, and to which voltage the cell are bouncing back after 2h rest. This will...

D-Method on really stubborn cars or the A-Method :)

Nice :ugeek: I like the system for connect in series multiple diode ;) I'm an "electronic" guy ... so I have tons of diode at home .. but they are rated around 1 or 2A .. so quite useless in this application ... So .. 4 Diode rated 10A will do the trick ? Maybe we can have a more...
