    Cycle carrier on the boot/trunk

I hear what you are saying and agree. Only issue with that being my outlanders a company car and will be going back in 18 months or so. Looking at the towball and fitting its around £600, obviously a dead loss when the car goes back. I am hesitant re the saris bones ex though.

    Cycle carrier on the boot/trunk

I picked the new bike up saturday and had to remove the front wheel to get it in the car to bring it home. I need to get on with a bike carrier now, I am still undecided about the Saris bones 2 though. If I went for the towball option I would probably be looking at £750 ish? £500 for a towball...

    Cycle carrier on the boot/trunk

I am looking at purchasing a 25kg Ebike and was looking at the saris bones 2. I emailed saris to ask if it would be ok to use it for my ebike at 25kg (21kg if i remove the battery) and she replied with a no. I don't know why this would be as the 2 bike rack is capable of carrying 70lbs (32kg)...

    Parking Sensors

If it helps, I purchased my mitsy from a main dealer at 6 months old with the first service being carried out by Halfords! Since then it has been in the main dealers for warranty work with no issues.

need new seat belts : (

Looks like I have found a company that may be able to replace the webbing on the seat belts. They are not 100% certain as some are not possible due to the way they are manufactured but its worth a try. Has anyone ever removed the rear belts? Any advice, tips etc? Is there any electrical...

    Towing limit

Hi All, Just been snooping around looking at caravans. Why is the PHEV limit so low at 1500kg for this size and weight of vehicle? I was hoping to get a large twin axle to site seasonally but its looking out of the question now due to the towing capacity...

    TIP, TRICKS and MODIFICATIONS

Is there any way to drop the windows via the key as per many fords? Miss that on my mondeo. Was nice to be able to drop them all before getting into the vehicle on hot days.

Low 12v Battery on New Car

I have a 19 plate and had to call breakdown out as it would not start one morning, used daily pretty much. He finally said the 12v battery was the issue, charged it up and it started. I told him I was not convinced that would be the end of it as it had to be flat for a reason. 4 months later...

    TPS RESET

Hi All, 2019 phev. They TPS indicator lit last week so I checked the tyre pressures and the rear offside was down to 15psi. I inflated back to 35psi. The TPS remained lit on the dash so I entered the settings mode. I held the button down on the reset icon several times but the warning...

    cannot connect phone app

02/11/2020 again the app has decided it cannot communicate with the vehicle. Rather poor if you ask me. Its due for a service so I will let the experts check it out again.

    cannot connect phone app

Turns out the vehicle had to have a new passcode plus my android S9 did not have the "device visible" setting on. Took around an hour to figure it out at the dealers. Thanks for the input folks.

    Irritating brake noise

Very interesting. My new to me MY19 also does this with 13k on the clocks. Only at slow speed and is certainly the brake pads moving. I am hesitant to make the 20 mile each way to the dealers again as I have already done so twice in the first 3 weeks of ownership.

    Front window demister

Ahh really, that would explain it. Thanks Craigy.

    Front window demister

When I press the front window demister, as in heated screen, sometimes it works and other times it does not. Am i not understanding something? I don't mean the blower, just the heated front screen button. Initially I thought it was not working then I pressed it another day and it worked.....

    Achieving ultimate fuel consumption

Great info guys thanks. I had noticed she freewheels in B0 rather than drive. I will use that more often and then its just a 2 second pull on the right paddle for D again I believe. I will just hit the screen clear in the mornings then and leave the SAVE alone. I set the temp to 20C...

    Achieving ultimate fuel consumption

Hi All, I am now 2 weeks in with my new to me PHEV. I am wondering if I am obtaining the best MPG for my driving situation. I work 2.5 miles from home so, as it has been below freezing recently, I start the car in "save mode" to defrost and heat the...

    New owner

I also have the brakes clunking. I put this down to maybe the vehicle being stood a while on the dealers forecourt. I will see how I get on with it. Getting a little worried as I have already had the vehicle back to the dealers as the drivers window does not work and the rear offside...

    New owner

Relays operating sounds better! There are no set parameters to when the clunks appear so I will go with that I think. Surprised nobody else has chipped in if its common though.
