    pre-heating vs pre-defrosting

Yes, and quite comprehensive, too. But even the dealership was not sure.

    Stolen Charger

I don't do anything to secure my cable (outside at home). What you could do is secure the plugged end inside. Any thief should see that it's live and think twice about cutting through the flex. (Maybe not if high on drugs.)

    Charge multiple car at home

First, for the Outlander, you don't need a fast charger. It will charge merrily on 13A overnight (only 11kWh). At that rate you could charge as many cars as you have chargers from household supplies (sockets). Second, there's some clever electronics in the charger that talks with the car to...

Outlander PHEV's 1500W Inverter: Pure Sine Wave!

Ah, yes. Mine has a simple cigarette lighter instead of an AC outlet (shame it's not an optional extra). And, at the front, the switch position is blanked-off. It's about the only non-operational switch there is (on my HS spec).

    Remote Climate Control

If the timer does an automatic update (from GPS or another service) and only synchronises at midnight, it would mean that you'd need to wait an extra day before the adjustment takes place.

    pre-heating vs pre-defrosting

I haven't needed to use the heating but will do as the winter approaches. I have the option for timed A/C, Heating, or Demist. Is Demist the front screen, if you have it, as well as the rear window and mirrors? How do you select Demist (what order do you need to click boxes etc...)? It seems...

    Android Remote App Problems

I think there's something 'flakey' in the system. I managed to link my new Android to the car when I got it. I could turn the lights on and exciting things like that... Then it seemed that the car might be out of range, but didn't even connect (connection error) when in the car. I removed the...

Outlander PHEV's 1500W Inverter: Pure Sine Wave!

If there was an inverter, where would you find it?

    Android auto

I think it was from 2018 in UK.

Possible new owner - few questions

I have MY19 but cannot compare with earlier models. Removable towbar was an option. I think it was fitted at the port, before going to the dealer. I got 30mph on French autoroutes, at 85mph, but 45mph overall. When calculating mpg, I subtract the miles covered on electric. I'd expect up to 35mpg...

Lovin' it ! How's your gas mileage?

I bought mine for the technology. If I'd wanted economy, a small conventional hatchback would be the answer. Maybe some are swayed by the claims of 130mpg (or whatever they boast nowadays). It's a pleasant car to drive. Shame the acceleration from start is not maintained all the way to top...

Lovin' it ! How's your gas mileage?

I use the Watchdog, too, but pay little attention to individual mpg figures. I have a spreadsheet to keep a record of every day's achievement (a little tiresome but more credible). I note the cost of electricity consumed and fuel put in. There's always a bit in hand (not yet consumed) but I...

Lovin' it ! How's your gas mileage?

I seem to be getting around 50mpg. I keep a record of the miles completed using the battery by noting the guessometer reading after each full charge and assuming that it's correct (even though it usually drops by a mile in the first few yards). I note the miles travelled in excess of the...

MY 2019 Phev no wheel paddles?

I use B5 all the time. That is, once I've remembered to set it.

    2019 Outlander charger

Don't bother. I've never needed one.

    Auto-hold 'not available'

I guess you need a reset. Look around for a small hole that you can push the end of a paperclip into... ;) ;) ;) :)

    Charging points in UK

I can understand people being put off by the poor infrastructure but I'm not convinced there's much of a need for much better. A hybrid can continue on conventional fuel. New EVs have a decent range, suitable for most journeys.

is it possible to rolled-back odometer.

I'm sure it is. It's only electronics. But don't ask me how!

    Heating problems

If you're not running the engine, could it be that the electric heater has failed?

Any queries or suggestions of Mitsubishi Japan's engineers?

I think the locking 'leccy door came with MY19. I agree that some customisation of what was infant of the driver might be beneficial. The ability to see the time might be an example...
