    Dealer won't provide battery capacity

Walk away - if they won't accommodate you, what else are they hiding? I was on the market for a new pre-loved car. My trusted dealer found a beautiful example on auction for me, and returned it the next day for a refund. After partly dismantling it they found welds in structural parts; the car...

    Spare Tire Kit

If the spacesaver is of a different dimension than the original tyre, the car will certainly complain.

    steep hill vehicle stall

Why did you use the handbrake? The car has automatic hill-holding.

How to use 110 V AC outlet without headlights on

That would be illegal. in any case, the running lights are LED, so the power drain is minimal.

Just found me a "new" one...

Yeah - it takes it about 15.000 below new, I couldn't pass it up ;) Part of the advantageous price is that it comes from Germany, that gives a tax reduction and the "Chesterfield" leather is a German extra. Actually, I only find the new design tolerable with silvery-grey colours.

Just found me a "new" one...

No idea, it is something I never bothered about; I do recall that it was fairly normal according to my dealer at the last service. (they monitor the SOH with each service). I can only say that it is winter, and it will run over 30 km on a charge on average. I know because my commute is 25 km...

Using PHEV as a backup generator

Just found me a "new" one...

The present one being 7 years old, with 150.000 km on nthe clock, I asked my dealer to find me a replacement. He just bought this one for me, about 5000 Euro under the going rate. Mid-2019 2.4 ICE, 15.100 km, Instyle German spec. Very happy, it will arrive end of next week.

Electric range of 2017 Outlander PHEV

Except when the object is wet. The increased evaporation will chill below ambient temperature.

Electric range of 2017 Outlander PHEV

Over here I would not hesitate to do so. In the UK, I understand, dealers sometimes behave quite strangely over such requests, asking outrageous prices or refusing altogether using silly excuses. You'd have to find a competent dealer.

Electric range of 2017 Outlander PHEV

Not very high, but just possible at this temperature, especially if it is a hilly area. What did the battery condition report say when you bought the car?

    Let's stop ICEheat, when cold...

Because the GuessOmeter does not incorporate it in its calculations. It only considers past performance, battery level and airconditioning on/off.

Are my tyres an illegal type

Oh dear - I have Crossclimate Michelins... . Seriously, the Law and thus your insurance only requires that you adhere to the maker specifications regarding size and rating (and even a lower rating is allowed in some countries for winter tyres, provided that there is a warning max speed...

    Electric shock when charging?

Which suggests a problem with your charger - not the car.

Electric range of 2017 Outlander PHEV

The guessometer is not accurate to put it politely, but just an estimate based on past usage. To know the real range in your hands, just drive it.

    Ex fleet vs privately owned

Personally I would buy from a dealer, to be reasonably sure that it has been checked expertly and has a full service history; the battery guaranty still has a few years to run. On the other hand, these cars are very well built and rarely show defects, even by careless use. Two things I would...

    Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM)

It went wrong on me once - the car came to an emergency stop in the middle lane of the motorway without reason - fortunately the traffic was light. The dealer logged into Mitsubishi Japan who found corrupted software, reloaded and it never failed again. In general it works well, with the...

Private sale 4h or dealer 4hs?

Whatever is your preference - but make sure that the car has a full dealer service history.
