    Mitsubishi dealerships closed down

That may be the case and, if it is, it seems to me all the more important that the manufacturer itself, having presented itself as the public face of the dealership, should ensure existing customers continue to enjoy an after-sales service that is (a) fit for purpose and (b) shows it will not...

    Mitsubishi dealerships closed down

Well the CCR Motor Co website describes itself as "The Official Site of Mitsubishi Motors UK" and the letter came from their 'Group Aftersales Manager' who stated "due to a company restructure we are closing these branches" .

    Mitsubishi dealerships closed down

I've had my GX4h since early July and very pleased with it but now I've just been told the local dealership where I bought it (and expected to get it serviced, obviously) is one of two nearby being closed down (SW London/ Surrey). Doesn't seem to be consistent with their plugging new business...

Use of an extension cable when charging

I bought this one because it's got a weather-proof seal that goes round the plug of the lead going to the PHEV: http://www.diy.com/departments/masterplug-13a-extension-lead-15m/260800_BQ.prd Makes me feel a bit less nervous.

    GPS map update

    EV Charging Point Apps (UK)

I'm struggling to find a comprehensive App or Apps that provide clear and useful info on the location of publicly-available EV charging points around the country. When I initially found the National Charge Point Registry (NCR) app I thought I'd cracked it but then I found websites (e.g. ZapMap)...

    GPS map update

I picked up my PHEV yesterday (SE England) and I asked the dealer about map updates. He said they (Mitsubishi Motors) supply them on request and that a new map on a SIM card costs around £150!! What a rip-off, and I told him so. I won't be updating mine for a while.

    Lobbying re public charge points

Lobbying bodies like these is a great idea, thanks! The more of us who raise it, the more likely it is they'll start doing something about it. I have just emailed the National Trust, English Heritage and the RSPB.

Use of an extension cable when charging

I'm just about to take delivery of my PHEV. I'll get a fast-charge point installed hopefully soon, but when I'm charging from a domestic 13 amp socket, either at home or if I'm visiting friends say, who may not have a conveniently close 13 amp plug socket, can I use a suitably-rated (i.e. full...
