2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

No AWD, smaller dimensions, and one of the few interiors that look worse than the Outlander PHEV, specifically the seat and headrest design: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2018-kia-niro-plug-in-hybrid-test-review Plus to get one decently equipped, price rises really fast. Are you sure you...

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

Thanks Tai for the update. Looking optimistically, this might increase the chance that USA will not get the forked version Australia got last month, and have the fully updated version arriving late around April-June. Looking pessimistically, the forked version might still arrive late, and the...

I stand corrected. In the US, it's even longer: "All Genuine Mitsubishi accessories are covered by a limited 5 year 60,000 mile warranty when installed at the time of sale, or the remaining warranty up to 5/60 when installed after vehicle sale, or 12/12 whichever is greater."

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

Hello Chris, I believe the article in the last paragraph was referring to the P400e. It is possible though that Land Rover can update the specs on the Evoque when it becomes available, and either way, as you state, it's not an Outlander competitor.

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

2019 Range Rover Evoque Plug-In announced: https://insideevs.com/range-rover-evoque-phev-2019 If you're not impressed with the current Outlander PHEV, then you certainly wont be here: 11.3 kWh battery with a guesstimate battery range of 17-20 miles/27-32 km.

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

I'm not confused with anything. The wiki reference is specific and accurate - $5,000 difference between 22 kWh and 41 kWh. It doesn't matter what the "actual costs" are, what matters is consumers have to pay $5,000 to get double the range with the Zoe. About this: "enlarged battery is dropping...

A warranty claim on a $70 add-on accessory that has been exposed to the elements for 2 or so years? Doubt it. The good news: it's only $70 (at least in the US)...

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

It's official - Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is no longer the only AWD SUV PHEV under $35,000 (USA): https://insideevs.com/subaru-crosstrek-hybrid-by-the-numbers The Crosstrek maintains the mechanical AWD versus the Outlander's front/rear electric motors. With the Prius Prime's 8.8 kWh battery...

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

As I mentioned, a big factor here is cost. You neglected to mention that in France, the 41 kWh version costs about $3,000 euros more than the 22 kWh version, and that's *without the battery* - one then has to pay a monthly lease for the battery. Think that will work for the Outlander? :) The...

Battery Capacity Warranty around the globe

In the USA, it's not just Mitsubishi that doesn't offer degradation battery warranty - they join Ford, Fiat, and Tesla in this regards: https://www.plugincars.com/what-you-need-know-about-electric-car-battery-warranties-132884.html As that article brought out, Tesla is in a safer position for...

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

The Nissan takeover probably delayed the 2nd-gen Outlander by about 1-2 years. Anyway, doubling EV-range *and* maintaining same price points - I would be impressed with that, and it looks like that is what's coming.

2019 Outlander PHEV reviews and what we know

2019 Subaru Crosstrek PHEV, marketed as Crosstrek Hybrid (even though it is plug-in), will have about 25 miles/40 km of all-electric range: https://insideevs.com/2019-subaru-crosstrek-hybrid-phev-range

While on the subject of new Outlanders, 2nd-gen Outlander PHEV due around 2021/22 will target 80-100km [50-62 miles] of all electric range, potentially doubling the current-gen range: https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/industry/mitsubishi-committed-future-phev-development

Anyone with nudge bar or bull bar and auxiliary lights?

    Interesting solution, thanks for sharing.

Anyone with nudge bar or bull bar and auxiliary lights?

The extra lights would help me see further and avoid collision in the first place :P Thanks for sharing, haven't seen this company and product before. It is very close to what I want. I'm wondering if it's possible to have the black bar with the circular lights on top? I also notice that the...

    Using Mostly petrol in winter..

I don't have specific numbers for the Outlander, but here is one breakdown for a Tesla: https://insideevs.com/energy-consumption-of-various-tesla-heating-features In short, heating surfaces is much more energy efficient than running the resistance heater...

Anyone with nudge bar or bull bar and auxiliary lights?

As for why, I like to install auxiliary lights, and the Outlander front bumper does not have a sufficient lip to mount these. In regards to ground clearance, if you look at certain nudge bars, they don't install all the way below the front bumper, like the one from ECB:

It was resistive for MY2018, there are no indications this changed for MY2019: https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/2018-mitsubishi-outlander-phev-test-review

Anyone with nudge bar or bull bar and auxiliary lights?

Sorry for bringing this up again, I did search this forum, and found a few threads, but none of the pictures work anymore, including the dropbox picture links. So I like to ask, has anyone installed a nudge bar or bull bar on their Outlander, and put auxiliary lights on them? If so, can you...
