    For the electronics geniuses.

I enjoyed what BMW called 'comfort closing' where holding the lock button down on the FOB, all the windows and sunroof would close. I've looked for this as an aftermarket add-on for the PHEV outlander, but there is only one supplier out of china who makes one integrated with the Mitsubishi FOB...

What features would you like to see added to the Outlander PHEV in the future?

I'd like to have what BMW call "Comfort closing" where holding down the lock button on the FOB closes any open windows and the sunroof. I loved this feature of my 2002 BMW. Holding down the unlock button would do the opposite, although I rarely used it and not so important - Nice though when...

    Battery cooling fan?

Okay thanks. Neat pictures. So the air inside the case is continually recirculated and no external entry or exit vents etc. As stated previously, I thought the internal radiator to be serviced by overly large pipes for an AC system, but obviously not. Your pictures confirm by calling it an...

    Battery cooling fan?

Citroen has been a long time project - into about 10 years now. Most of the problem is time but also location - not enough room and noisy to neighbours. Right now I'm reskinning the four doors - grinding, welding, sanding etc. Its a Safari wagon so has the two rear dickie seats that fold fold...

    Battery cooling fan?

When I looked through a few YouTube videos researching this for myself, it looked like it was water cooled. I only say that because the in/out pipes to the radiator inside the battery pack were quite a large diameter in aluminum. Looked too large for AC gas. Unless of course elsewhere, the water...

    Battery cooling fan?

I'm so sorry. My rookie mistake. Its a ZL 2020. (as per my signature). It has the 13.8kWh battery size. Its the Elite not that I think that makes any difference but I mention it in case. I believe its the second to last year the Outlander was all Mitsubishi, before sharing platforms with Nissan.

    Battery cooling fan?

Hi. I realise that the battery is water cooled, but its only a small radiator at one end of the battery case and then a fan blows air through the radiator and then across the length of the case. Is there a user replaceable air filter somewhere in front of the fan suction side that can be...

My spare tyre solution. with photo's.

To my knowledge, its a requirement in Australia that all cars have a jack and brace regardless of having a spare tire or not. I don't know the reason behind it, but somewhere else in this PHEV forum is a post that in some countries the car is sold without them because there's no spare tire...

Are Outlander PHEV shocks the same as other models?

I am very interested in this as I started the thread. I agree that I'm not keen to use lowered springs as I enjoy the ease of getting in and out (compared to my previous BMW s/wagon) and also the load height of the rear area is mostly convenient as well. I'm also not of the opinion the factory...

    Accelerator Issue

Hi. Its disappointing when you don't get replies. This forum is not highly populated. So I'll help if I can. Like all modern fuel injected cars these days, the accelerator is electronic and not a mechanical connection. So the pedal has at least 2 x potentiometers to generate varying voltages...

    Sport mode

Hi. I'm interested in what Sport Mode does in my 2020 PHEV. Sport mode in conventional ICE cars doesn't usually do very much other than change the auto shifts and sometimes sharpens up the accelerator pedal response if drive by wire, but with few exceptions are a bit lame in most cars. Sport...

    Auto wipers

Hi. Is there any secret menu or adjustment for the sensitivity of the auto wipers to rain? I find its not quite sensitive enough and allows quite a lot of vision impairment before it triggers a wipe. Yes - the glass is clean and free of chemical residue. There are no scratches or anything that...

    Watchdog App necessary?

Okay - thanks for that. I don't pretend to know or have learnt everything on the Cars own info screen and my thoughts were whether i expend the energy understanding it or going straight to WatchDog and learning it. And then also I suppose, if I need to learn and know the extra depth level of...

    Watchdog App necessary?

Not very helpful thank you. I can look up what it will do, but what I asked was what can it do or provide over and above what information is available in the PHEV's own information screens and why should I install WatchDog. Then I also asked about the Bluetooth conflicts with Android auto and a...
