About the ChaDeMo - it's a DC connection more or less directly to the HV battery, there is no charging circuit for that in the vehicle. The ChaDeMo "charger" is external - in a big box where the cord comes out from. The charging circuit in the car converts AC (100-240V) to DC at the...
In my '23 Outlander there is a workaround (maybe also in the 2018 model?):
Go to Vehicle Settings -> Mirrors and then select "Auto Fold Off" so the car won't attempt to fold the mirrors. Shouldn't cause a problem unless you have a narrow garage door.
We are just recovering from a 5-day power outage in some areas east of Seattle (including where I live i n Sammamish). It was caused by hurricane force winds triggered by a "bomb cyclone" over the Pacific. The winds affected high-voltage transmission lines in some remote areas in the Cascade...
I can confirm that my US-spec 2023 SEL (the only trim with the inverter) can run a large upright freezer (16 cubic feet).
We are just recovering from a 5-day power outage in parts of the Seattle area. My freezer is in the garage, I plugged it in overnight and set the temperature to -20°C (-4F)...
Check out AGM battery size 51R. Dimensions and terminal layout fit, like this one ($240):

I don't think you can replace it with a regular (flooded) lead acid battery, the charging voltage is different.
In my 2023 Outlander this works only down to 18°C/65F. Then it shows "Lo" and the AC turns on automatically. It can't be turned off as long as the temperature setting is "Lo".
I have a Level 2 charging box in the garage, righ next to the garage door, and run the cable to the car underneath the door. I use 2 pieces of 1" thick cedar as stops to prevent the garage door from squeezing the cable. My cable from the EVSE box to the J1772 plug is 25 feet, therefore I just...
Purchased a 2023 SEL Premium (top model in the US) in November '23 right off the lot in Renton, WA (Younker Mitsubishi). They had several PHEVs on the lot. No wait time, as opposed to the RAV 4 Prime (>1 year at the time, and price gouging by dealers).
Actually, it's a lease because of the EV...
I went to several places that specialize in car keys and advertised they could do "any key fob".
Some of them said outright they can't make a Mitsubishi key, others said they can, but came back after a while that they couldn't.
Didn't try ACE, though.
Yes, it does read signs - in my experience even temporary ones, if they look exactly like regular speed limit signs. You can set it to "Auto Mode". In that case the car will set the speed to the posted speed limit, but only on freeways (according to the manual). I've never used it.
Ooops, I just noticed that the charger is currently not available, but this one will work:

Currently has a $40 off coupon, so it's less than $100!
I have a level 1/2 charger that has a NEMA 6-20 plug. Add an adapter and you should be good to go!
Charger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BG1NJ2NM
It's only 16A, but that's all you need since the car can't take more.
Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081P89YPS
