The AC system needs to be checked and refilled every couple of years. Just be sure the garage you visit will put oil for hybrids!!! Normal oil for AC system may cause fire in a hybrid!
Offtopic: Whatever this update is, I don't have it. @kpetrov is it possible that one of your battery cells is in bad condition compared to the others?
Ontopic: Whatever they did with the new software for the Outlander PHEV was "too much" and needs fine-tuning. I would suggest complaining...
To mention something. High revving for petrol engines means they are in their most effective state. This is why going on the highway and using Charge Mode yields such good results. Of course, battery charging is most efficient at around 50% SOC (so either use Charge or Save when near 50% SOC)...
Here's the official statement they released about a year ago: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/mitsubishi-motors-europe-b-v-_mitsubishimotors-phev-suv-activity-7039867650398715904-MTq5?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
They have been testing it extensively the last month in Finland...
I believe that works only if you unlock it and don't touch any doors in the 30second or 1 minute mark, whatever the setting is.
I will try it this week and let you know.
Octane 95 is what they recommend in Europe for the engine.
It will tolerate up to 10% ethanol in it.
Higher ethanol percentages might result in the car returning an engine error. Because of that, I would not recommend using a fuel with more than 10% ethanol additives.
